Life is shaped by a continuous series of choices, from the smallest daily decisions to the moments that change our direction completely. The ABZ Book reminds us that even when choices are difficult, there is usually still a choice to be made—and every choice reflects something about what we value. Choosing one path also means accepting the consequences that may follow. The challenge is that we rarely have complete information before making an important decision. If we waited for total certainty, we might never move forward at all. A useful question suggested by the book is: “Then what?” Thinking at least one step ahead can help us consider what may happen after a decision is made. This article explores how everyday choices gradually shape character, experience, and the direction of our lives.
